About

Paolo De Toffoli

I photograph what makes me stop. On the road, in the street, at home.

On the road

I was born in Vittorio Veneto and I live in Padua. I photograph what makes me stop: someone on a doorstep, a scooter against the light, the sea seen from above. I shoot with a Sony A7 III and a 28-70, and when I film I keep the camera still and wait for something to happen.

Travel started early. After my diploma in tourism I spent a year in Manchester, working in a kitchen, and eight months in Bavaria as an au pair. In 2019 I set off with Tiziano Maset to hitchhike around Europe: 114 days along the coasts of France, Spain and Portugal, on fifteen euros a day, with a tent and a video camera. That trip became VideoMastery Studio, the photo and video project I ran until 2021.

These days I leave whenever I can. Morocco has become a second home: Fes, Imsouane, Taghazout, Marrakech. At the end of 2025 I went to Chile and Argentina with Ariel, my best friend: from Santiago to the Pacific, then across the Andes to Buenos Aires.

At work

By day I work in digital as a digital advisor and key account manager. I am the single point of contact for companies across marketing, sales, communication and development, and I coordinate digital products built with artificial intelligence.

Before that I ran Google Ads campaigns at Studio Cappello, including the pharmacy e-commerce Dr. Max. For two years I led the office and the digital transformation of the Italian Historic Vehicle Register, and I handled the digital strategy of Zanze XVI, a Michelin-starred trattoria in Venice. I started out with a diploma in Tourism Hospitality Management at ITS Turismo Veneto and an internship at Caffè Florian.
